This is the fourth free transit stop in the City. You are now able to park at the garage and catch the "T" to downtown and North Shore (PNC Park - Heinz Field) destinations free. The "T" station came on line "Light Up Night" November of 2001 (Pittsburgh's Annual Holiday Kick Off Event). For your paying convenience, there are three pay on foot machines-cashiers, payment by charge card are available.Īttached to the Facility is a transit stop which was developed by the Port Authority. This state of the art facility is a short walk to businesses on Ross Street, Grant Street, the Boulevard of the Allies, Fourth, Forbes and Fifth Avenues. It is situated between the City Courts Building and the PNC Firstside Complex. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with round the clock security. The First Avenue Garage and Station has a lined space capacity of 1,243 vehicles with 21 handicap and van accessible spaces.
